There is *no* way to guarantee you will have a girl. You *can*, however, increase the chances of getting one. Since the method is only 75-90% effective (more effective for having a boy than a girl), you should only do it if you will be thrilled to have a baby of either sex. See sources section below for more information. If you want your best chance, though, read the book, not just the Web site. This is the only method with any scientific research or backing. The "Chinese ovulation" calendar claims to be 99% effective, but if that were true, there would almost *never* be boy/girl twins! (The existance of boy/girl twins also goes to prove hat *no* method is 99% effective!)

The only way to definitively choose gender is to do in vitro fertilization followed by preimplantation genetic diagnosis. The technique is legal in the US for couples who are carriers of sex-linked genetic diseases or for couples that are interested in "family balancing." That said, I think it's wrong to select or discard embryos solely on the basis of sex, but that's just me.
There's also a company called MicroSort, I believe, that will sort sperm into mostly X (which make girls) and mostly Y (which make boys) samples. You then do artificial insemination or IVF. But last I read, the process cost at least $2500 a pop, with no guarantee.
Some clinicians point out that X sperm are slower but tougher, while Y sperm are speedy but fragile. That would suggest that if you want a girl, have sex 2 days before you think you'll ovulate. It's more likely that an X sperm will reach the egg, in that scenario, than a Y sperm. If you want a boy, have sex on the day you ovulate. Of course, none of this is guaranteed and there is no good medical data to back it up. But it sure makes more sense than most of the other old wives' tales out there...
Good luck.

I've heard that you are more likely to concieve a girl if you get pregnant when discharge from ovulating is not very thick. Sperm with the X chromosome is supposed to be stronger and more likely to survive the acid in the vaginal cannal than sperm with the Y chomosome therefore the less discharge the less protection for the sperm with Y chromosome.
Other than that it's realy hubby's fault =). I have two girls and I just found out I'm finaly having a boy. The funny thing is that my hubby's dad had 3 boys and just 1 girl so his family history wasn't a great predictor of what he would produce.
Just keep trying and praying for your baby girl you'll get her if God means for you to have her!

If you know when you ovulate, try to have intercourse a day or two before. Apparently, X sperm live longer, but swim slower than Y sperm. So, if you have sex the day of, or soon after ovulation, a boy will usually result. I just read this in a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni something(my S-I-L book). I myself have 3 girls and will try for a boy. However, ultimately, nothing is foolproof! Good Luck!

Try the Chinesse Birth Chart - supposedly you are able to predict the gender of your baby.. Just go online and type this us, you will get many websites or enter "gender prediction" and a bunch of websites will come up.... Now, remember, this is just a prediction, not facts.. But it is fun to do, one never knows and could get lucky and it could just be coincidence... Good Luck..

Science say they can. But in all truth without science it is a 50\50 chance. They say dairy for a girl and meat for a boy. But I proved that wrong. All I drank was milk and got a boy.

early in your ovulation and no orgasm for you. boy sperms are sluggish and need a little extra help getting thru the mucous which is thicker at the beginning so early on when the males can't get thru it as easily just be happy if the baby's healthy! no matter what sex it is

My mum was told many years ago to pour vinegar down there (you know where) after sex and it apparently kills off the boy sperm. I was born a girl but who knows if it actually works???
