England don't look good on paper, they have unfit or untried front men, an average defence and no midfield, Gerrard and Lampard, or Carragher (it doesn't matter) don't work and teams will run through the middle of them like Portugal 2004, Swen hasn't learned anything. They don't have a hope and it's mostly because they are going to yet another tournament thinking they have a realistic chance on winning it! It's happened once, 40 years ago! Not a hope, they (the whole nation) think far too much of themselves.

France, Germany and Argentina we can all beat we've beaten Germany and Argentina before. They're also our two oldest enemies in football matters and we're not going to let them beat us again.
Brazil are in a leauge of their own and no-one can ever be sure of beating them or even drawing with them. But any team will give as good an account as they can against them. England could beat them if we had luck and alot of determination on our side.
Come on England!

Oh Boy... from the responses above i see that everyone is sleeping on England and thats good for them because eventhough they are one of the soccer powers...they are seen as an underdog compared to the favorites to win...we have Germany, Brazil, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Argentina, and last but not least England. Oh sure England always succumb to pressure but have you seen their preliminaries. I predict that England will make it to at least the semifinals if not the finals with Brazil.

I have a gut feeling that England will do it this year ( 90% of the time my feeling is right ) remember it has been 40 years since they won the Cup and i believe the players are determined to win it do not under estimate them they have a great mid field Gerrard and Lampard attack is also looking good Owen will up his game, Crouch is looking dangerous, then there are the new youngster Wilcott

I hope our boys will win, but lets give them genuine encouragement for a tough task ahead cos even tho' there are some also rans (USA, Saudi, Trinidad etc) there are some tough teams to beat..... Let's be positive and not criticise or put them under too much pressure ...take note the Sun - Star - Mirror gutter press. Come on England!

Yeah it became an fairly exciting try tournament for the first 3 days with some fairly good performances from cook dinner, Pietersen and Panesar. i imagine Monty ought to get mom too yet i think it is going to bypass to KP. You did not have self belief me very last week after I warned you that Monty and Swann are a more suitable desirable mixture than Ohja and Ashwin. Harbajan became fairly ineffective too, perchance your reviews have replaced slightly now. i imagine India can ought to finished slightly reshuffling with their batting line up, i do not comprehend if the Indian selectors may have the heart to make the tremendous ameliorations even with the actuality that. imagine we can see a flat pitch next tournament which will be drawn and England to win the series 2-a million.

England is a great team and will put up a fight verse anyone but they do not have enough stars like brazil does, and since they do not have wayne rooney they are in even more trouble because he was one of there main attacking options
