sorry ppl i don't know the name of the goalie of the edmonton oilers that came in the 3rd period. so i call him the rookie goalie.

I think they both have to take blame for it. Conklin should have played the puck better but Smith fanned on it so he is to blame too. It sure is a shame about Rolloson.

Ty Conklin is not a rookie. He has been with the Oilers since 2001, and had no ice-time in the playoffs until tonight.
I actually blame both. Conklin for playing the puck when Brind'Amour was in the zone, and Smith for losing the puck when Brind'Amour was in front of the open net.

Smith, if he is the captain. The goalie did excatly what he was suppose to do. The captain lost control of the puck hes the Hurricanes scored.
Eventhough I am for the Canes I think it was a sucky goal. But a goal is a goal.

I say the rookie goalie, he was not where he should have been. But don't forget, Cam Ward of the Canes is a rookie goalie too and he was awesome!! GO CANES!!
