not at all! I thought I would be so cool forever, I still think I'm cool, but my kids disagree! I thought I would be young forever, have some awesome job in New York city, never get married, never have kids. Never settle down! Now, I live in the suburbs, drive a big SUV, have three kids, yeah, not what I thought I wanted at all. But I'm glad I settled. I love my life just the way it is.

I don't think so. I never had many expectations for life, but I can't imagine I could forsee my life as it is now. I really think this is because as I've gone through life, what I value has changed drastically as my perspective has widened.

I actually have less expectations for my life now than I did maybe 5-10 years ago. I just hope that I will continue to push myself in new directions and discover new aspects of life. I think that if you have some core ideals about life, there's a lot of wiggle room for the details.

Bottom line? I don't see how anyone's life could turn out as they imagined it would. It's like trying to predict the weather 3 years from today. What you are willing to push yourself to achieve in life will change, and that will ultimately affect how your life unfurls.

No not at all. At first I thought it could only get better but it just got worst. Now I think it is going to get worst it is just getting better. I guess that's the way our lives go. We will never know how it will turn out. If we did It wouldn't be exciting nor surprising, what fun would we get out of that?

I never really knew how it would turn out I was so fly by the seat of my pants. In that sense I am surprised. I never really expected to slow down. It seemed like constant and fun went hand in hand. Amazing how age changes perception. ( and children. )Now life is slow and enjoyable. I wouldn't change it for anything.
