I coming from a partially cuban/black family wonders why if a baby is mixed all you hear is their cute because their mixed. Seriously I hear this crap all the time and it drives me crazy because I see beautiful babies and people all the time that are not mixed why are people so obssessed with this. I was watching Oprah the other day and this black lady said she would never have children by another black guy because she doesn't want her kids hair to be nappy. Mixed kids have some ugly nappy hair too. WHY???

So are some of you suggesting that if you are not mixed your ugly. To name a few full bread :) individuals that are not mixed but beautiful
J-Lo, Salma Hayek, Denzel Washington, Morris Chesnutt, Penelope Cruz, Julia Roberts, I can go on and on really think about the question remember this is coming from a mixed person, but I happen to be dark and speak spanish/english which shocks a lot of people once they find out I am mixed they expect me to be light skinned

Part of mixed children being so pretty is because it's a combination of races. If you think deep into it, then you'll see why it's so beautiful. I personally am a bi-racial female and I don't have nappy hair. Granted it's curly and gets on my nerves sometimes but, it's far from nappy. And to be honest, I've seen ugly white, black, mixed, ect. babies. All in all, it depends on how you look at the situation and what you view as being beautiful.

There's alot of mix people walking around, Some may look like,or be considered a said race. In this day and age it's really not important to worry about that,it's really trivial. There's wars, famines, genocide, and corruption across the world. From a black perspective, that idea was a carry over from slavery days, upto not to long ago to the late 1960's . That view was a carry over from slavery days.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I have a mixed race cousin and she gets picked on "half breed" stuff like that. So it has it's bad side.

lol, maybe being mixed makes us inheretly open-minded to both cultures, and that is a welcomed retreat from all the racism and prejudice in the world

i'm mixed, but i've never heard that. lol we do get the best of both worlds, not that you're going to be especially beautiful, but having two heritages is cool at least to me. understanding things and feelings things from both sides.

because mixed kids have features that are admired and envied by alot of races. Not all though but i feel you..more importantly do you think knowing this makes them have a different mentality because of this??
