I think that dark brown, black, khaki, or white would look good with maroon. Don't forget to accent it with some gold jewelry or perhaps a gold chain belt.

tan, white (but could look uniformish), cream, etc..You could get a little bolder and add color, like a pale green or a pale blue, even navy, but it should have something that will tie to the color of the skirt. I read once that for a classic and never brassy look, you should never pair any color together that would not occur together in nature. My personal taste would be to stick with a neutral.

i would go with white, and if u can get a shirt with maroon and white, white is the best with that color. black is ok, really! it wont look bad

But you couldwear which ever colour top, added with a maroon scarf for the extra touch of colour and co-ordination
