I keep getting this pop-up (about every 30 minutes) from a place called moviepass.tv. There is a woman in it who says "your 3 day free trial is up" and what it boils down to is they want $24.95 from me to stop these pop ups. This has been going on for 6 months now and its really getting on my nerves. I never applied for a free trial from this place, but I do have younger nieces and nephews(5-11yrs. old) who visit every weekend that might have. There is no email address to write to,or no phone number to call, to explain that I never ordered the free trial, just this annoying popup! Is there anything I can do to stop these popups, short of paying them the money? I have recieved no services from this place, and would hate to pay them for nothing at all! Pleeeeease does anyone have any advice for me????

Update your anti-virus or use AVG Free.
Goto www.Lavasoft.com - download Ad-Aware SE - free for personal use. Removes Adware.
Find Spybot Search and Destroy, load, run - Removes Adware.
Remember
You can only run 1 antivirus program at a time. Do a full virus scan on a weekly basis.
You can run more than 1 adware remover because they are manual scans initiated by you. Run about once a week.
Also, make sure you have a firewall.

It's up to you to defend yourself, Live, love, laugh, and always learn

Hi, have you tried running a Spy-ware program? If not, you should try Ad-Aware and/or Spy-Bot, they are both free and I use both and that usually gets rid of most of the problems. Just type in those names in a search engine download and the free versions. If not it gets a bit more involved.

go into your add/remove programs list and see if it is listed there. if it is, just click on it and then remove- it may be spyware...

of course you might also have the need for adaware which is free from download.com

download and install it, then update your definitions and run it at least weekly. it cleans your computer of problems like this

that is a virus, or some sort of malware anyway. i did a google search for the site, and there are sooo many people complaining about the same thing. you might try running a spyware remover on your computer.

get Ad-Aware from this site (free version, don`t have to buy it)
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
and clean your PC from adwares and spywares.
After that, download some other net browser like Mozilla or Opera and use that instead of Internet Explorer.

Get your anti-spy software going and get rid of it. Have you tried using one of those programs to see if it can be picked up on your pc. I had some of this nature and well it fixed my computer. It was from an online casino.
