My ID so people would know who I was if I didn't have a tombstone.

A photo album that had names of my beloved familed and friends and pets and my stuffed animals all pictured inside.

A small portfolio of my art, writing, thoughts, dreams, lists of things that inspired me such as music, movies and people, and any other things I may have journaled into it.

I am not a material girl, so my first thought was nothing because I am also someone who does not like to waste (and anything I take with my dead body is no longer of any value to anyone else except maybe a grave robber). Then since you were adamant that we think of something, an idea came to mind. I would like to take the first locks of hair that I saved from my babies heads and the picture that was sketched of my husband when he was in Vietnam, a picture of my Dad and me in the backyard when I was a baby and a picture of my Mom when she was a little girl. They are so much more valuable than any material thing that I have.

Well I would want to be buried next to a tree which is next to some wild flowers, which would be next to the ocean.
The items I would want to be buried with would be a shovel (in case I really wasn't dead), some pictures of the people I love, and a good sound system that would play my favorite music (when you came to visit my grave you could push a button and hear it).

WOW< What a Thought provoking question! I can not decide. Would have to be three of the things that would describe best what I was, Who I was, on this earth.
1. pic of FAMILY, Friends, Cub scout troop.
2. chocolate my favorite (must have food) M&Ms
3. Something my family chooses to send with me.
NOW, if you want to get Therological...
1. Fully charged Cell Phone (if it would work from down under) cause if not really dead would turn on and call SOMEONE?
2. Canister of Oxygen, to STAY alive till rescued.
3. Ice Pic, to chip my way out.

First of all- you asked the question and if people's true answer is "nothing," you shouldn't get so upset about it.

I guess if I were to be buried with 3 things they'd be-- 1) wedding ring, 2) family photo, 3) picture of my dog.

1. My truck- it has over 103,000 miles on it, but has been more reliable to me than most of the people I've known.
2. A cooler of ice-cold beer for the trip- wherever that may be.
3. A gold coin for the ferryman- but hopefully after the beer I remember not to pay him until I get to the other side!

Psh, forget pictures:
1. My Wife. In that polka-dot dress I like so much.
2. My Children. Preferably alive, so that I can hear them talking for awhile before they go out. My 2 year old's scream is so darling.
3. High-Grade Plutonium, That way when I make my last words a curse, everyone will think by coming to my grave made them sick.

My best answer is absolutely nothing. You can't take it with you no matter what it is. I just want to become ashes which will help some flowers grow so perhaps some petunia seeds with the ashes that would be a good beginning.

I've chosen cremation, and burying myself with objects holds no appeal. Leave the material things for the people left behind.
