true to answerman but , the profits show a loss for those days and it is figured on daily basis , giving them the freedom to raise the price from hour to hour or day by day, your right the gas they raised the price on is already paid for..........so why do they raise the price on this "tank" i can see maybe having to raise the price on the next tank if it cost more to stay in business.......lets face it we pay high gas prices because we will pay them.......period

Oil went above $73 a barrel today, but 40 cents a gallon is not equal to that. Especially when the gas in the tanks have already been paid for. Oil company's are organized crime. The only way not buying gas on certain days of the week will help is if you stop driving at the same time. If you use a gallon of gas on Sat. but do not buy until Monday they still get the money.

little or no. the right wing keeps conserving that elevating taxes on the oil agencies will rigidity up the fee of gasoline. Maye they imagine in the adventure that they repeat the nonsense sufficient circumstances someone will be stupid sufficient to have self belief it! What they very quite ignore about is that a) the oil agencies were gouging the established public, over and above the truly fee will boost via market situations) and b) Obama has many times reported that the days at the same time as agencies can function in any such way with out any oversight or duty are OVER. there is not any longer something incorrect with an organization making a straightforward income. What the oil agencies are doing isn't a straightforward income, it really is larceny. they are going to get more suitable taxes, particularly of taxpayer's funds being given to them as subsidies. and they're going to be difficulty to oversight to save them in line.

The problem is that in the spring into summer months oil refineries boost production from 80% to 90% but this year they decided to stay with 80% because profits are expected to lower from less driving so production low prices up and once again the people take the hit and the large corporations keep the profits up. I think it is time to turn these billionaires into millionaires and stop "We the People" turning into "We the corporation"

My gas actually went down in price today by 12 cents. And I only drive to work and back so I can't boycott.
