Hi there, here are a few important things to bear in mind.

The best way to figure out a multiple pregnancy is via an ultrasound scan.

HCG levels keep doubling every two days during early pregnancy.

In general, though, it appears that the hCG levels are similar in the early part of the first trimester while the hCG levels are higher in the second and third trimester for multiples compared to singletons.

Drugs containing HCG can give false positive results.

Something is not right with those numbers. First ... 4.8 thousand? 122 thousand? The numbers should double in 48 hours. This could be a multiple or a molar pregnancy. What did your doc say??
