I feel like such an idiot...I sing these songs everyday with my kids and never noticed it before but yes they have the same tune.

They do have the same tune. I believe this was used as a trick to get the kids in class to learn their ABC's way back when. If they set it to a familiar tune it is more easy to remember.

Yes they have the same tune, but I didn't have to sing it because I already knew they have the same tune because I play it in the piano.

Yes they do. Also baa baa black sheep. People were not very creative with their choise of nursey rhyme music back then.
