Our pool is in a house we just bought, and has had chlorine. We heard about baquacil, it's easier on your hair and skin etc.But also heard it does not do a good job.

I had used Baquacil, because I had heard that it was safer for the kids. I had more problems that year with my pool than ever. I switched back to chlorine.

I've had a pool for 30 years. Now I don't even hesitate about using chlorine.

I have never heard of baquacil, but my dad used to be a pool boy and he always used plain chlorine.
P.S. The only effect chlorine can do is make your eyes hurt if you open them up under water for a long time. Never heard of any effects on hair.
