What you SHOULD have done was take a picture of it and blackmailed her with it. I never get these opportunities.
Even my son was able to blackmail his teacher for better grades with the undies he found hidden in her purse.

Yes, you should have told her. The humiliation of one person telling her would be far less than from a lot of people noticiing it. In a situation like that, do the right thing...consider what you would want if this was you. If you would want to be told (and I think you would), you tell.
The fact that you "pretended" to be happy to see her doesn't mean that you had to be deliberately cruel by not letting her know that she had a problem.
I had very heavy periods and flooded all the time...through my clothing. It got to the point where I couldn't go anywhere during my period for that reason. I can honestly say, a kind warning was very appreciated.

I might have told her b/c either way, she would still be embarrassed and she would have felt bad b/c I would be looking like I actually cared enough to help her even though she was an $$$ to me in the past. So, I would have looked like the bigger-mature person. And she would still be embarrassed that I noticed it as well as helping her. She would have been pleasantly surprised by my kind gesture.

i agree antny who yet again is a fountain of knowledge and wisdom you should have blackmailed her or at least snuck the photo in a slideshow at a neighboorhood block party!!!
