I am almost 8 months pregnant and i have a horrible tooth ache. I went ot the dentist and they said it needs to be pulled. Would you wait if you were in constant pain or would you go ahead and do it?

There is always the chance when you get a tooth pulled that there could be complications. However, if the tooth is abcessing, that could hurt your baby too. I would talk it over with both your OBGYN and your dentist and try to get them to agree on the best course of action. I had a similar problem and got a tooth pulled when I was in my second trimester.

Go to your local health foods store and get something called myrrh. Pack this around your abcessed tooth, and it will heal without the need to go through the drugs and such that your dentist would have you do. Remember, he's trying to make a living, and your situation pays his mortgage.

The dentist obviously can see that you're pregnant and apparently feels its necessary to extract the tooth now. If you're worried get a decond opinion. You could also call your obstetrician. Remember your health is affecting your unborn child too, so it might be better to have the extraction and be healthier.

you can have a toolth pulled. Your 8 months and the dentist would decide to have it done now or wait. They know what is best and they know what kind of medications would or would not hard the baby.

It is better to have dental problems taken care of in your 2nd and 3rd trimester..In that case, you should be okay. You just won't have the drugs regularly administered to you as you would if you weren't pregnant. No x-rays either. Good Luck!

Yes, it is okay, but they will only give you local anesthetic, and you won't really be able to take pain medication afterwords. My friend had 2 teeth pulled. It is actually really important since your teeth decay so quickly while you are pregnant.

Well I'm not a expert but shouldn't you consult with you OB/GYN before you make your finally decision because of the Anaseia and Congratulation's and you baby were trying to conceive

there is less chance of getting an infection by getting it pulled than leaving it in. The bacteria in your mouth could harm the baby. get the thing yanked, then go to the gyno and see if he/she thinks you should take antibiotics.
