I'm Asian and live in Asia and even in my country, people hold certain cultural stereotypes of other Asians. Some stereotypes would be:
1. Chinese - not very clean with surroundings, they spit, sound like they're arguing all the time, look down on non-chinese when it comes to marrying one, tight-fisted when it comes to money, etc.
2. Indians - very nice people but for some reason (probably the food) those who belong to the hoi polloi have B.O. - actually, the same goes for some Arabs; most of them are loan sharks and they sell umbrellas and "nets" to keep mosquitoes away.
3. Japanese - aside from the porn/maniac stereotypes because of the Yakuza and the sex trade and the comfort women fiascos during WW2... Japanese guys are pretty cool
4. Thai/Korean - due to the advent of the telenovelas (soap operas) who have very good looking leading men, their image has become very desirable as of late. Prior to this, no general stereotype except that they had great tasting food.
5. Filipinos - they're like cockroaches because you find them everywhere on the planet. Filipino guys are usually romantic but not very aggressive when it comes to romance because they'd like to make sure that they end up with a girl they can bring home to mommy. They're like Italians except they're in Asia and they have a machismo, ego thing going.
So far, those are the stereotypes here. Don't shoot the messenger, okay? I'm Filipino and although these are the common stereotypes, I keep an open mind when meeting someone of a different ethnicity. Most of the time, they do prove the stereotype (the bad ones) wrong and that's fine with me.

I don't, Asian guys are hot! Some people may not mean to look down on Asians, it's just that they don't know any. Like in my high school in Ohio, there were only 3 or 4 Asian kids the whole four years I went there. (in the 90's) If there would have been more Asians, they wouldn't have been seen as different or exotic. No Asian kids got picked on, though. I'm glad to be in NYC where race isn't a big deal the way it was in Ohio.

I'm part Asian...and yes there are stereotypes, even among Asians, like the Chinese are a certain way, or Indonesians are a certain way. Sometimes the stereotypes are true and sometimes they aren't.
Even in the country I live in, people from different states have weird ideas about the neighbouring states.
But unless you take the time to get to know each person individually, you might miss out on some really cool friends. Glad to know you're happy to vouch for a certain body part. :)

My boyfriend is Chinese and he's the best man Ive ever been with. Im Amerasain, but I live in Georgia and the white people here think being anything else but white is wrong. They look at me as if I have done something wrong. I used to live in NewYork and when I moved down here, I never understood that people wouldn't like me because of what I look like. here, they look at me like Im an alien or something! Some people tell me Im so beautiful, but they only say that because I look different, some people are just extremely rude and mean to me because I look different. From experience, I think the people who look down on me and my boyfriend are ignorant. They have not left this town, have no teeth, have 15 kids and live in trailors with 5 dogs running around, can't use proper English and live off of welfare. So I learned not to give a crap what they think because I know who I am, and Im loved and that I will reach my goals and live a much happier life then they have. To answer your question, I believe other people, not races, look down on anyone who looks different from them, because they are not happy with their own lives.

i'm a Filipina, a Harvard and Oxford graduate. nonetheless I opt to no longer hunch on your point yet a technique or the different my situation for humanity and the familiar gene pool get the perfect of me. Ergo, idiots could desire to be corrected if no longer dissolved. women human beings from countless cultural historic past marry for various motives, and such hasty generalization is merely mistaken, to no longer point out irritating. Asian women each and every person isn't desperate, in fact around 15% each and every person is greater smart than maximum of western lads. Majority of people who paintings and learn outdoors Asia are prescreened to have marvelous skills, mentally and physiologically. Now, going back on your factor. Why do no longer you get an substantial pattern to evaluate? examine scientific journals, evaluate data..possibly think of? And historic past examine your individuals? You under no circumstances comprehend while somebody is under the impression of psychoactive drugs, even with each and every thing that's a western norm.

You can't generalize what an ethnicity thinks about another ethnicity. Saying something like "All whites hate blacks" is as stupid as someone saying "All Asians are stupid."
Personally, I think Asian guys are cute. Although the penis issue you mentioned isn't a turn on, but it varies from guy to guy. After all, there are black guys who are smaller than most white guys, and white guys who are bigger than most black guys - why make generalizations? But that's just me talking about physical appearances...then again, that's the only difference between Asian men and any other ethnicity of men.

Well Sweets.........I am from NYC as well and to be honest with you, I think most Asian men are quite handsome. Not to mention you have that great stereotype on your side. You know the one. All Asian people are smart and age well. You need to stop focusing on the negative things that people may think or say. Put your energy into the positive. You'll live longer that way. FYI.........I forgot his name, but you know the leader of the Samurai's in " The Last Samurai", well I'm in love with him :-)

Well, I don't look down on them, except for the height thing. Hahaha...sorry I couldn't resist. I look down on a lot of folks. I'm tall. I am below the mason dixon line so naturally I get to hear all the hick jokes. No, I can't say I look down on anybody. We are all Gods marvelously created beings. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and so are the asians!

it's been my experience that the asian guys that are looked down upon are the ones with the attitudes. the ones who stay in all asian groups and get all huffed up when another guy starts talking to one of the asian girls in the group. on the other hand i have a few asian friends who are totally cool dudes. and that is from a south louisiana guys point of view.

Well, I'm from upstate, which is still NY -- but not as much NY -- and I love asian guys; as friends, as confidants, and I had tremendous crushes on two over the years when I was younger -- but in one case the kid was straight and we are still great friends -- in the other -- he was gay, but he was so shy, and I was so scared that he could never like me because he was so handsome -- :-( but no, for sure I don't look down on asians, at all.
