would you join...Starving Artists...a club where you would make food at someone's house once a month and every Friday you would color and watch Oprah or something...then have prizes for the atr afterwards. So...what do you think?

The name might be a problem, because there is a commercial company by that name. The concept sounds like a lot of fun.
You don't say where the prizes are coming from, so that could be a challenge. Maybe more people could get involved if you were to have the art department at your school sponsor you, or an art gallery in the mall.
I'm not in high school any more. I mostly work with youth groups and younger children with craft work.
I might be nice to have an art visitation at some local old folks homes, where you could go in and share a meal and help each other with art. Several rest homes around here have cafeterias where the general public can join the folks for food.
