I am thinking about using limewire. Is it safe? Does is cause spyware? Is it legal? Is it free? Please tell me as much info. as you know and all your experiences!

Well I use limewire. I've heard someone say that having limewire is legal. As long as you don't go selling songs or something then you're okay. As long as it's for private purposes i think.

No. Limewire is not illegal. I'm not sure if it causes spyware or not. It is legal and free. The only illegal part is when someone uploads music from you. Be sure to disable that. I use Limewire, and I really like it. Also, I believe this question has been resolved. Check the answers out there.

Yes, the actual Limewire software IS LEGAL to have. What you do with it is up to you, and that's where it becomes illegal. If you use it to download lisenced music and movies, you are breaking the law.
But it's like I've always said - You aren't going to get in any trouble unless you get caught, and you aren't going to get caught.

I always use limewire and it has NO spyware compared to the others ive used before (kazaa and all that).
It is still legal, as long as you use it for private/personal purposes and not for media distribution. It is100% free and very easy to use. I use it frequently and I have highspeed DSL, it works great! The music downloads really fast and the quality is great. There is a wide variety of choices, and mostly everything you need is there. I love it for downloading music... its not great for videos though, I use BITTORRENT for that.

i use limewire....i havent had any viruses or problems with it...idk if it is legal....it is free if you do basic and not limewire plus... it has a wide variety of songs...i am pretty please with the results i have gotten
