You could say that your heart(love) would live on in other people. Those who you are close with are in your heart as they are in yours. Thereby keeping people close to us, and living on and on in other people.

I know what you're thinking: No, I'm not homosexual.

your heart is a muscle, the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets, just like your arm muscle. every feeling you have in your heart comes from your head. the pain or heartache you feel is from anxiety, the fear of losing something, your thoughts control it though, control your thoughts and it will control your heartache.
I have found during my life time that when you really love someone it takes about a year for the heartache to go away. the changing through the four seasons. some go through it faster but it usually comes back to haunt them. in a years time you will say who? everytime someone breaks your heart, it will get stronger.

The heart goes on and then on and on until it goes silent. When that happens, you are either heart broken, or dead.
