That's completely dependent on the type of habitual behavior in question. If the habit is learning to use a new route to work, then it probably only takes a couple of days. If the habit is working out every day, then it might take a few weeks. If the habit requires breaking some form of addiction (drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc), then it could take years before the new behavior 'sticks'.

as soon as you are addicticted and can not stop. If i have a habit of eating cake that must mean that i eat it all the time that must mean that i am addicted to it. To be addicted to something you must have a full pleasure of thing that you are addicted to. So after (for example) your first puff of a seacret you can stop but the feeling that you get will make you want to try it again and why not its only been twice now right but then as you keep wanting that thing that you need. it starts to become a habit.IN my oppion!@

You can make a habit the first time you try something. But if you do it more than once I would call it a habit!

as long as it takes to remember what it was you did, so if you have a bad memory then maybe it will take you a long time to make a habit, but then you could make a habit out not making a habit, so i guess it takes as long as it takes
