Hey, i understand what you're thinking! But if you only knew the no. of years and how deep their frienship is.....You'll realize that, there's nothing wrong about them being so close!...

Here are some FEW facts:

1) I think that Dirk and Nash's friendship is awesome and very rare, especially in their situation.
These are two guys who came in at the same time, both were trashed by many of the fans as well as the media.
Dirk wanted to go back to Germany and Nash is the reason that Dirk didn't.
Dirk was so naive when he first came here.
I mean, I remember reading a post on another board where Dirk didn't even know that he needed to get an unlisted telephone number. He even had a message on his recorder that said, "If you need to reach me, call me on my cell phone at XXX/XXX/XXXX."
Dirk would just sit in his room totally home sick and it was Nash that got Dirk out and introduced him to his friends. It was Nash that helped Dirk get an apartment in his building, it was Nash that even helped Dirk get his first credit card.
Dirk's parents made a comment several years ago that they didn't worry about Dirk because they knew that Nash would look out for him; that they trusted Nash.
Nash is a great guy; very humble and very very loyal to his friends.
I admire their friendship. It's very cool

2) that's pretty much how I feel. the one I feel bad for is Dirk. I may be reading too much into it, but he seemed very shaken about having just knocked out his best friend's chances at a championship. when the game clock was winding down in those last seconds the camera showed the Mavs and most were smiling and hugging. it appeared that Dirk was searching for Nash so he could go console him. there was no smiling from Dirk. again, I could be reading too much into it.

I believe that this also shows what a huge step Dirk has taken from last year. last year he played tentatively in the Suns series. it was almost as if he didn't want to have to knock off his best friend's team. this year ,however, he seemed to be all business on the court, and he saved his emotions for after the game. if I felt sorry for anyone after that game it was Dirk. you could tell he was beyond happy that he had reached the finals, but deep down he wanted so badly for Nash to be there with him.

3) I collected TONS of pics of the two specially Dirk!...all i can see is OFF GAMES,,,, Nash is with Dirk singing together playing guitars, watching football together, Steve was pointing to Dirk (when Nash was asked about the MVP issue)

Hahaha. That's a funny question but no I don't think they are "too" close. The thing is they played with each other for 6 years. Dirk came to the U.S. from Germany at 19 and came to Dallas as a trade from Milwaukee and pretty much didn't know what the hell he was doing in his rookie season. Steve Nash came from a trade from Phoenix and they were both introduced to the media in 98. Nash was hampered with back problems and Dirk struggled so they kind of felt bad for each other. Years later they end up becoming one of the best 10 players in the league. There relationship is a lot like other NBA players you basically see every teamate the whole year except for July and August.

Dont ever talk about nash in that way again, and enough wih the brokeback mountain inuendos. You must have never been part of a high school or college team, teamates have the deepest respect for each other, and develop a brotherhood, thats what they have. Also there both unorthodox players, and they are from other countries.

Give me a break. Everyone wants to play armchair psychologist when it comes to seeing two guys who happen to be friends. You folks are going so overboard in your desire to "outing" people you are actually creating paranoia, homophobia.
