I am a struggling, single mom of a 14 year old boy and his mind is ALWAYS in the gutter! We talk about everything and I get the feeling he likes that his friends look twice at me. However, I feel as if I am suddenly failing when it comes to teaching him the values of how NOT to cross that line when it comes to degrading women. How do I know if he is growing into a disgusting pig or just going through typical , gross, teenage guy-stuff??

MILF, it's just teenage stuff (not just guys either..) Take it as a compliment, it just means they think you're hot, they can't control their attraction. Teenagers think of sex about once every five minutes, it has nothing with being disgusting, its just the hormones.

He is going through all that gross teen boy stuff, but if you allow this to continue you are also teaching him that it is acceptable to degrade you and all women.

The child's relationship with his mother and the respect or lack of it, he shows her will be reflected in his relationship with other women. But you know this already, right?

He needs to learn to relate to you as a parent /child relationship, not to address you as a sexual object for his and his friends sexual pleasure.

The way you present yourself and interact with them could be a factor in this. Going around looking like a porn star would be inadvisable.

i think its gross your son calls you a milf. does that mean he wants to have sex with you? sounds like maybe he sees you as more of a friend than a mom. you should sit down with him and have a discussion on the topic.

Every culture remembers their war dead whether their cause was just or not. There are many, many war memorials in Germany. None of them have the word Nazi, but that was the ideology they died for. You can respect their sacrifice, or their talent in battle, without agreeing with their cause.

i wouldnt be offended. it is just a teenage thing...your son likes it because having a "hot" mum gets you popularity in the teenage world. i wouldnt worry about it, its just a phase

You shouldn't be offended because they're just boys. But, you should let them think you are. Don't let them call you that stuff in your presence.

Wow, that's a huge compliment. I wouldn't take it literally though. It's just saying that you're one hot mamma.

i would feel honoured to be called a 'MILF'.
don't worry - stick with your basic values and he'll turn out right.
it's just his age.
it's nice to see that he can be so open with you.
