I believe in mermaids, because nobody has ever been to the very bottom of any ocean or sea, to find out whether or not they exist.

The right question would be, Do you believe that mermaids exist?
Then I would answer that I do not believe that they exist. I think there aren't persons with a fishtail living under the sea, because the organism would not be a human being, it would probably had to be adapted to the water, which implies that they aren't human. Their eyes, arms, hair (if they have), and a lot of human characteristics would not be present on the creature, maybe just the shape (and that's too much to say) but that's all.
I have a lot of more reasons, but these should be enough.

You can't go to the bottom of every ocean because it is too cold, the water is moving so it won't stay at the bottom and we can't handle the pressure! There is no such thing as mermaids. You should be more concered with actual things at the bottom of the ocean like for instance actual human bodies from the slavery ships and many ships before them. Focus your time and imagination on something more productive.

Well the Dogon tribe believed there was once amphibious beings that came to earth to teach us civilisation, but other than that, Personally, the myth of Mermaids of the sea's has been convincingly explained enough for me not to believe in them.

I believe there's a person that can survive after jumping from a 50 floors building.
And to prove me wrong we have to make every human being jump from 50 floors buildings.

There so many creatures that surround us yet we don't see or feel them!!! for example every day there is a new discovery of a microorganism. It is just some of us humans think that we know everything!!!
