Being gay is no more "wrong" than being hetero, or white, or black, or Jewish, or Christian. Most research seems to point at a genetic factor being involved in becoming gay. If this is borne out by further research, being gay wouldn't be anymore a choice than being heterosexual. Should we protest someone for something over which they have little or no control?
Some people feel threatened by that which they don't understand, or by anything that seems to threaten their preconcieved notions of "what the world should be like." These are the ones who protest things like homosexuality.

I know a lot of gay people they are and act completely normal as anyone else. They work, eat and sleep like you and me, they pay taxes and love and hate like everyone else. There is a misconception that being different is bad. Also people get to confuse pedophilia and bad connotations with being guy, and it is all wrong. Pedophilia means the person like children, and being gay has to do with being in love with the same sex. History has shown falling in love and or loving the same sex comes from ancient times and it wasn't prosecuted back them. Much of the misconceptions and hate against what it is unknown comes from fear to religion and moral beliefs which we were conditioned since young. Also, every society treats threats in different way, and also mental manipulation has always work for those that have a higher power of knowledge (like the church ) even if those rhetoric conceptions were engraved with wrong beliefs. At the end, if the sentiment is pure, and if the person doesn't hurt anyone else, whatever he/she is doing, can't be called or seen as evil doing. When a person or a particular party gets to decide for others without their consent, that's when a wrong doing is committed. So, why not try our gay neighbors in the same decent way we hope we get treated?

No, I don't believe its horribly wrong. I'm very accepting of the gay community, however...
at least a smart part of me does not see the marriage of 2 people of the same sex as equal to a heterosexual marriage. To say that marriage is only about the union of 2 people who love each other is too idealistic for my tastes. You have all sorts of issues that come up. Gays can't have children which defeats the purpose of sexual intercourse almost entirely. Yeah, sex can be used to strenghthen bonds between 2 people, but its ultimate purpose is to procreate, and that is completely lost in same sex relationships. You also have the weirdness factor. Say what you will, but our society is still not ready to accept same sex couples on a wide-spread basis. We've come along way, but not that far. There will always be a group of people who are too weirded out or disgusted by the sight of 2 men kissing in public.
This also brings cultural biases into the picture. People from other countries sometimes bring their cultural values with them. In alot of Latin America for example, just calling somebody gay can get you killed or seriously hurt :P. It just is NOT kosher to be gay over there. This goes for a whole lot of countries though, not just countries in Latin America.
So yeah, gay people can go and do what they want as far as I'm concerned. They're not hurting my feelings. But there's still that little part of me that just won't let it go.

I think whatever happens between consenting adults is their own business; not the church and certainly not the government. We also have separation of church and state so we don't wind up with an official required religion which is what will happen if the churches try to dictate policy. As far as the verses in Leviticus that speak against it, Leviticus is giving rules to the preisthood (Levites) not the common people. It was issued to stop temple prostitution.

Some people are easily offended. Some people are offended by everything. Some people feel threatened by what they don't relate to or what they don't understand and some peoplel want to destroy everybody who, they feel is different from them.
But, at the end of the day, As the saying go, if you're against gay marriage, then don't marry one.

Nope. Being gay is fine.
It's the people who have nothing better to do than to spend their time hating people who are gay that I think are horribly wrong.
