In all honesty, I don't think that the Heat are the "nba dream team". They are Shaq and Dwayne Wade with an assembled cast of solid starters behind them. If there had to be a dream team, I would have said it was the Pistons (four out of five starters on the all-star team, come on!), but the Heat beat them, so, unless you believe the title of Dream Team can be inherited, which may very well be true, the Heat are just an extremely good team that beat a modern day dream team

In a lot of ways they are the Dream Team. Riley has the second most rings of any active coach, Shaq is a top 5 all time center, Wade is one of the best 5 players in the league, Mourning is inspirational with all he has been through physically over the past several years and you have players like Payton, Walker and Williams accepting roles that they never have. Add that to the fact that Riley's Mom passed away during the playoffs and this may be the closest to a Dream Team that there currently is.

You can't really call Miami Heat a ''Dream Team'' because all u hear about is D-wade or Shaq. I am a heat fan but those two aren't the only ones that are on the team. What about the other players. They have lives too.

While Shaq and DWade would certainly be good for a dream team, the rest of Miami is a bunch of cast offs or players that have yet to arrive. And yes, Pat Riley would be a good coach for a dream team.
C- Shaq
F- Duncan
F- LaBron
G- Kobe
G- Kidd

No ! Wade may play a liitle better at home but that's all Miami have got for strength .I've seen Harris, Nowitzki,Terry ,Howard, Stackhouse and they are excellent at home. Compare the points the heat lost to the Mavs in game 1 & 2 vs the Mavs losing in game 3, 4 & 5 and the numbers speaks for themselves.

No way.... The American Dream Team was: Chicago Bulls circa 1995- Jordan,Pippin,Stocktan,Rodman, H. Grant... until I see a team as connected as those guys were instead of just 1-2 guys on everyother NBA team out there shining, then that will be my answer till James "N" Smith (R.I.P) comes back from the grave to play the game himself.

Nope there are many good players outside the miame heat. There are lebron, dirk, nash, kobe, brand. Etc. But in my personal opinion there is only one dream team. The Usa Team that assisted to Barcelona. The team had malone, jordan, barkley, pippen, stockton, david robinson, magic johnson and other super stars

The only true Dream Team that ever existed was the 1992 Olympic team that played in Barcelona. They were the original and the greatest...true domination...
