I have a 2002 Impala with 100,000 miles and needs about $1,500 worth of work. I wanted it to last me at least another year, but I would hate to put the $ into it and have it crap out when I could have put that money towards a new car. Any suggestions?

It would depend. If the car has been working well beside the $1500 repair, I'd just fix it and keep going. I have an 01 with just shy of 100k and it is still worth 3500 per KBB. I'd also recommend going to Kelly Blue Book (kbb) and see what your car value is. If it is worth more than the repair, and it is one of a very few big repairs you've needed to do, then keep it. I guess the thing to think about is that the repair is $1500, but car payments of $300 a month will cover that difference in 5 months, and then you are paying again each month. Hope it helps.

So there ought to no longer be any wonder by ability of modern spot fixing scandal and Sreesanth or 2 different cricketers are not to any extent further isolated case. what is going to you're saying about a large no ball by ability of RP Singh or 3 catches dropped by ability of Pollord in a row. Why, even in the day previous's tournament between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, gamers of Rajasthan did not bypass for run out attraction in a sparkling run out. IPL is all about vulgar funds. me and my boyfriend have a 2001 impala and we put 4000 bucks to fix the transmission and it's lasted us another 2 years. We have to hang on to this car cause we don't have the money to purchase another one, but I would suggest hanging onto it. We have about 134,000 miles on ours, and while there's some minor problems with it right now, when we go on long trips it does good everytime.

I think you should fix the car. The Impala is a great car that should run for a much longer time. Chevy might not make the most stylish cars, but they're tough...

Depends on why you are waiting another year to buy a new car. If you are trying to save money or just not ready for a car payment, invest in the car you have. It's cheaper than taking on a car payment and higher insurance payments along with it.
