It says, "I love black people." I think it's funny. My girlfriend disagrees because she's dumb. Would I be offending people by wearing it? Does it make a difference if it's true or not?

I don't mean that I love them romantically. You know, I just love them because Dave Chapelle is hillarious.

Personally, I think the shirt is both funny haha, and funny strange.

It's a little funny ha-ha because at least you're honest about your feelings. I don't think your girlfriend is dumb for not liking it though -- she is probably afraid that you will dump her for a black lady or something, and therefore, wearing this shirt around her is not a good move, bro!

It's funny strange, simply because of the reason for it: "I like Dave Chappelle, and he's black, therefore, I love black people". I understand why some black people might be offended by such an attitude ("Oh, he only like black people if they're making him laugh/entertaining him, but that probably means that he would move out of the neighborhood if they were to move in next door!"). Again, on that score, not exactly the smartest way of expressing yourself. After all, I like Jim Carrey, but that doesn't mean I'll wear a T-shirt that says "I Love White People", especially since the only reason why I supposedly love white people is because one particular white person (Carrey) makes me laugh and I only see white people as clowns or buffoons. You see my point?

As for the people saying "ALL African-Americans would be offended by this shirt", you cannot say that for certain, especially since you are not all black people nor do you represent them all.

Hmm...that just depends on the person. It wouldn't offend me if I saw an african american wearing a t-shirt that said I love white people, but it may offend others.

I am white and my child is half African American and I even feel like this is not appropriate to wear. It appears as though you are making fun of black people. If you bought that shirt already maybe you can sleep in it and never leave your home in it?

I truly believe any African-American crossing you on the street will take offense to it!

It's as if you're making fun of that fact and I wouldn't even want to take a chance at direspecting any one of ANY race -- wouldn't you?

Just wear a REGULAR T-shirt...

Do yourself a favor, and DONT wear it!

Even if you do, the black women, will not appreciate "you" wearing it, and you "gold digging" on thier men!

Yep, they dont like "White women", hitting on thier men, as much as White men, dont like Black men hitting on thier "white women"...

Until this "stigma" is finally put to rest, in a few more generations, I wouldnt advertise it at this time.

I wish you well..

I can tell you this though some peope are DEFINITELY going to be offended so if you are going to wear it .... be selective with where you're going to wear it.
