"D" is the impressive answer. the problem is a compound difficulty ....muffler and spark plugs... and calls for a plural verb...."want" is plural. the topics in "A, B, C" are also compound matters and require plural verbs, even with the undeniable fact that the verbs in each and every of those sentences are singular.
