What is this thing in the news about Olivia Newton-John and her boyfriend?

I only caught part of the story on the news yesterday, and had no idea what it was about. Does anyone know anything?

Olivia's boyfriend Patrick disappeared last year. There are people who have said they saw him in Mexico recently. I don't know if it's been confirmed yet.

He disappeared off his boat months ago, and now apparently has turned up in Mexico (or at least has been sited.)
