It was very close to being the most over-hyped movie ever, which is why I'll never watch it. It couldn't possibly be that good. Never thought I'd see a movie be as over-hyped as the first "Batman" movie many years ago, but Titanic came pretty darn close.
But then again, I always think it's stupid to take a real historical event and try to attach some non-existent love story to it... that's the same reason I would never waste my time watching "Pearl Harbor"...that and the fact that I KNOW "Pearl Harbor" sucked....
Celine Dionne needs to be shot, btw. Any volunteers out there? Anyone? Anyone?
Well, those are the good points about it... I won't go into any negative stuff.

The sets and costumes were beautiful. But I felt that they should have mentioned some other events, like how a ship saw them and thought they were partying and kept going. But I thought that Kate Winslet looked about 20 yrs older than Leonardo Dicaprio. He looked like he was 12.

I love that movie!! I cry every time I watch it, I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. I love how James Cameron makes you feel like you are a part of it.

Very good movie, but its not the best I ever saw. I did cry,but I cried on Forrest Gump, Armageddon, Rudy and oh the list goes on.

I have seen the movie four times, in fact I own the movie. It was one of the best lobe stories ever.

It is too highly overated...It is a good movie but as good as people say.....youlll find it boring after sometime....It is worth watching only once

Loved it the first time. Suddenly, after a bunch of fanfare and media hype and my sister playing it over and over and...Titanic became my least favorite. Now Jack and Rose make me puke and Celine's song is just a whale's cry, seriously!
