I've heard that everyone has a 6th sense but only a few really know how to harness that sense into something useful. Time isn't what we think it is and the future is not set by any means. I think Nostradamus used his 6th sense along with complex mathmatical and astrological study to predict what could happen if we proceeded in the course we were in. Now, many of his predictions were pretty vauge, if you ask me. That's why there are people who believe and people who don't. Personally, I'm still on the fence...but I think we all should keep an open mind.

Hmm I am a skeptic.

He wrote all these "quatrains" which have been interpreted through the years as prophetic.

Nostradamus was even more insightful than imagined OR
The quatrains are obscure enough that they can be interpreted to predict any occurrence. I vote for the second...

Take this one:
The sky will burn at forty-five degrees.
Fire approaches the great new city.

In this phrase, Nostradamus refers to a great city in the new world of America near forty-five degrees latitude. Experts agree this could only be New York.

Or something else?

He fine tuned his radio. Really that is almost what he did. When a person has a gift or ability to foresee events it is a matter of getting ones mindset into a state that will allow all the vibrations from the atmosphere to pass through the mind, as they pass through one actually fine tunes the motions into actual hearing and visual events. He was able to do so better than most people during his time because he actually recognized that he could actually do this (we all have the ability) and did so. Its a state of mind!

He read alot of passages from books known as 'holy"...and other readings...also,he sat alone alot and contimplated for a long time and conjured up many things which would benefit his ideas and ways of thinking...most,if not all,of his work was purely coincidental...

Lots of lucky guesses, analytical thinking, and understanding of human nature. The same is true of most fortune tellers.

Because the historians correlate his notions with specific events... so one can speculate that he did not see the future... but... historians link his prophecies to events through vague notions

He couldn't (though he may have believed that he could). He made up predicitons that are so confusing, they could seem to apply to whatever happens.
