This is a new drive, I dunno what software it has. the seller said it would work on a PC but I want some more opinions.
It is supposed to be a drive for DVR's. Like said, its new, so it could be blank. I wonder if I need any drivers or will Win XP do the rest to format it to run XP.\?

I've wiped out partitions many times and reformatted a hard drive by that set up gig from the XP CD, on a computer i've had troubles with over the years. I just dunno if I can do the same thing on a new PC I putting together, directly format, partition and ETC on this kind of drive.

from the best of my knowledge, it will work. there are hacks for dvr's out there that allow you to take out the current hd in a TiVo and hook it up to a pc to change around a bunch of crap to enable certain things that the dvr company didn't want you to have, and then put it back in the TiVo. plus, in the same hack info, theres a section describing how to put the same hack info on a brand new hd, so you can upgrade the storage space! GO FOR IT!!!
