I'm talking about things like pharmaceutical drugs vs. natural cures (for simple ailments), processed food vs. natural whole foods, c-section (when it isn't necessary) or epidermal vs. natural birth, formula vs. breast milk, etc.
I realize convenience is a big factor in a lot of these choices, but there are still arguments over things like whether breast milk is actually better than formula....
I have an opinion on this, but i'd like to hear yours

Maybe because it's so common for people to look to man-made drugs these days rather than homeopathic remedies. I'm anti-medications in most situations so I don't really know.

Well, in my opinion processed and manufactured things are all flaky to me. People don't like things that are different and things they don't understand and this causes people to stray from natural solutions versus the processed ones. The doctors make a lot of money from the pharmaceutical companies so they prescribe certain drugs and push people to do this. If you can cure a cough at home by sleeping and eating a proper diet, then how do they make money? People will listen to their doctors more often than not, so that's part of the problem. Also, the companies that sell the processed foods, baby formula and drugs spend a lot of money trying to convince people that home remedies are quackery. There is a bond that comes between a mother and her child from breast feeding. If the mother has a proper diet, then the health benifits should be there. If she's lazy and eats at McDonald's all the time, then obviously formula is going to be better. I hope mothers would prefer to have that bond with their children, but what do I know, I am a man after all.

I always think that in most cases when it comes to drugs, inatural sources are more often better than man made ones.
It's all down to preference, but if I had to choose I would rather have the natural or maybe organic drugs.... like Chinese medicine. As your body is more likely accepts natural drugs better than say pills that have alot of side effects...
Some say that the man made drugs are better, well they are sure more convenient but how can we say that the natural drugs are inferior since they have been around for thousands of years and very well tested compared to that of just over a century old man made technology, and new drugs are sometimes taken off shelves due to new complications occuring in the general public say maybe a good few years down the line.
isn't there also cases whereby pill popping can cause problems for your internal organs? Kidney and Liver .....
But anyway for me, if a cure can be done naturally for common ailments... it's natural all the way .....

It's all a marketing ploy. It's the job of the free-market machine to make synthetic solutions seem superior to natural ones. Frankly, a person needs to be educated beyond commercials on TV to know the pros & cons of each alternative. If so then the natural alternative would, in most cases, win.

Think about who owns the airwaves, the media and our government. Right, the people who make the drugs and food you're trying to avoid.
Look who contributed to Bush's campaign. Look at the lobbying scandals and then rent the movie "The Corporation." You'll get the picture loud and clear.

Most 'man made' stuff comes from nature, the drug that keeps me alive was developed from a Brazilian vipers venom in 1975.
If you are referring to homeopathy it's because it is quackery, a drop of anything in an ocean isn't going to do anything except have a placebo effect.

Natural alternatives lack a public relations spin machine working for them. Most are low budget operations and they have to compete with high budget corporations who can afford a savvy marketing plan to push their products.

Since your query appears for just one lesson I could prohibit myself for your question fame. The significance of humanity is falling aside too quickly in present day global thus of which such a lot of violence global huge. What we must train is to invite to admire social bindings and human values mainly to the impending iteration. Other constructive matters could comply with routinely.

alternative is the way to go. Only benefits don't cover them. Some people do alternative health therapy for their pets too. It is catching on for people and animals. people are literally getting back to the basics. People from way back when had it going on....:)
