you laugh out loud because someone played a frank on you and you just learned that someone tricked you. you want to do that to other persons to have "revenge".

There was a time when The new year began in April (the time of the thaw from winter) When folks started observing January as the begining of the year a lot of folks resisted. The were called April Fools because they did not keep in step with the change. They were ridiculed and taunted. Today we taunt anyone we think a fool.
