Queen had a better songwriter in Freddy Mercury, but Pink Floyd was a better band musically. Also, I think of Pink Floyd as more of an album band and Queen and a singles band. You don't really hear people talk about Queen's albums, but more their singles like Bicycle Race, Fat Bottom Girls, Another One Bites the Dust, etc. Conversely, most people don't think about Money as a song, but they think about Dark Side of the Moon the album as well as Wish You Were Here, Animals and the Wall. All classic material. I like them both for different reasons. If I had to choose one band, as a musician myself, I would take Pink Floyd.

Queen can't even touch Pink Floyd. There is no band in existence that sounds like Pink Floyd, that could ever be Pink Floyd. I find Queen to be less original and less powerful.

QUEEN in my opinion. But no doubt, Pink Floyd is a one of a kind performer. I Chose Queen, because I loved Freddie Mercury. But I'm starting to cool down about him. Queens song's rock. Forever!!! And Yeah I still love Freddie Mercury. What a cool name. How can anyone think that Floyd's band sounds better than Queen's band? They, (QUEEN') Band, Guitarist, and drummer, the best ever. Too bad Freddie died, they'd made more great music.

You cannot put a 'better' tag on either band, Queen had one of the best singers in the world and Pink Floyd has an "aura' that can't be matched. Both are of the best bands on the planet!

Euhm no no no doubt Queen. Although Pink Floyd is a cool band too, and that reunion on Live 8 was remarkable, though Queens performance on Live Aid was heavenly.

Pink Floyd stands the test of time better. Queen had the best harmonies - that's mainly what they'll be remembered for.

before each and every thing i do not evaluate queen to be a rock band in basic terms analyze songs like i want to interrupt loose , radiogaga to very quite numb , shine on you loopy diamond ull understand red floyd were lords of rock n roll and queen is amazingly a lot beloved they bought over three hundred million albums so that they were truly no longer underrated freddy became between the staggering singers of all time and stay performances i guess queen were more suitable desirable yet beloved the heartbeat version of red floyd too and the ultimate element is red floyd were no longer puffed up in basic terms pay interest to their late 60's albums

Pink Floyd without a doubt..............Queen was good, but they do not hold a candle to Floyd in terms of record sales and popularity.
