biking, walking, jogging, jump roping..... stay active. take the stairs instead of the elevator, garden, clean your house, wash dishes by hand. those aren't cardio, but they're still more than just sitting on the couch. also, cut back on junk food.

Go for a power walk or jog before breakfast. This gets your metabolism going for the day. Eat a healthy breakfast and control your portion sizes. Eat like a king at breakfast, a prince at lunchtime and a pauper at dinner is a good maxim. If work is within walking distance, walk or bike it to work - leave the car at home. Climb stairs in the office instead of taking the lift. Instead of sitting at your desk at lunchtime, go for a walk. If there is a park nearby, even better. Go for a walk then eat your lunch.
