I'd highly doubt it since specific carriers do use different styles of chips and hardware for their phones so it probably just wouldn't work. I haven't tried switching carrier's chips around but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work.

You would have to "unlock" the phone first. Find the model of your phone and search for unlock codes via Google. Once it's unlocked you're good to go. It may be free but if it's not, the most it should cost is $20.

highly doubt it, my sister's friend tried to put his T-Mobile sim card into a Cingular RAZR phone, and didn't work so it wouldn't work here
