Google "FinalAlert2." It's a free program that can build Red Alert 2 maps. It is not a basic map editor, rather it is a very complicated one! Set terrain, create waterfalls, create AI triggers, place units, buildings, base positions, and so much more! It used to be on the original RA2 website, but that was revamped into the "First Decade" website.

These are software games and the author wants software to go with them. You should play Warcraft III. There's a lot of mods maps for that game.
