EDIT: OOPS lol... missed a few words...
Space is hardly the final frontier and time is hardly a simple measuring tool.
Space, is not the "final" frontier but a current frontier. Many years ago, the wild west was a "final" frontier for many travellers who sought gold but it is by no means, a final frontier.
To my thoughts, TIME is indeed the final frontier. Why? Because it is currently theorized that it is impossible to transverse time so should we make the impossible possible, then we would be more than we could ever be.
To further explain my views, simply put, space can be transversed by a space ship and ect. Nothing fancy like Star trek ships or Star wars vessals but just a simple propellant would allow you to explore the dephs of space.
Unfortunatly, however, its not all that simple when it comes to time. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, time is directly influenced by space therefore stating that a man going near the speed of light who expierences 4 years of his life is equivlent to a man who is moving at normal earthly speed expieriencing 4 seconds passing by. The difference in time based on speed changes how the frontier of Time can be explored as it can only be explored through space.
How it works is like this:
Until one reaches the speed of light, the time around the person moving at such a high speed will slow down much like a bullet-time effect in the Matrix. Once that person has reached lightspeed, everything stops moving and that person has reached a new frontier. Once that man moves pasts lightspeed, time will begin to move backwards and to that man, everything is reversing itself. It isnt the universe changing but just him ripping a hole in the time-space continum.
The problem is, (i wont go into the detailed math parts for several reasons one being that I dont even understand them fully)
As a person reaches lightspeed, his mass increases by an exponential amount. At lightspeed, his mass becomes infinite which is theoretically impossible. Plus, the time-space math formula, when graphed to see the relativeness of time to space, will make a parabola that never intersects. No matter how fast one goes, that person would never surpass lightspeed simply because the laws of the universe forbids him to. Summery? Faster than lightspeed cannot be achieved in this universe. Because of this, I belive that Time is the eternal frontier because we will never truly be able to full expierence all it has to offer as we are a spacially based species existing with spacial needs and spacial properties. Our physical ignorance to time makes exploring time all the more difficult.

Time is a man made device to measure the units between one instant and the next. As we invented it, it dont really exist see.
So time is just that time, nothing.
