no, not at all, there is an easy way to achieve this( if I may say it's a fruitless goal)
1) with a simple chemistry set start to comprehend the basic facts of in-organic chemical processes( sounds complicated but all your discovering for your self is which chemical compounds are detrimental to the human species)
2) develop an original molecular toxin previously unknown to mankind( preferably one in the carbonate family, hard but possible)

5) make sure your back-plan is fool-proof( this is where most people foul up) sit back & let the gold boulion role in( regardless of the cost to the planet, its ecolegy and all life that dwells within)
