My 2 year old found her way into the bathroom and decided to bunch up a ton of toilet paper and flush, needless to say, my toilet is clogged now...any suggestions and is it ok to use a DRANO-like unclogger?

When you don't have an plunger, or drano, or a toilet auger, you can unclog a toliet with basic household items, baking soda & vinegar. Pour two cups of baking soda into the water (slowly to avoid toilet water splashing), and then slowly start pouring in vinegar. The mixture will start to bubble up. Stop pour when the mixture starts to rise, and continue this technique for about 15 mintues (starting and stoping)...my toddler is fasinated by the process. The combination will slowly disinegrate the paper. After about 15 minutes, walk away and wait. Usually with in another 15 - 30 minutes the clog will clear up and the water will flush itself.

YES, this takes a LONG TIME, but it is enviromentally safe, it won't scratch your toilet like auger, and you don't need arm power to operate that plunger well enough.

Drano isn`t the best option. A good plunger with a good seal should push it through. You can also use a snake to clear it. You might even need a different toilet that has more pressure.

A plunger is usually the best bet. If that doesnt work, you could use your hand to get most of the mess out, as far down as you can go :(. Then try the plunger. You can always wash after. The next step would be to call a plumber.

Drano probably wouldnt do much, because it is designed to cleanse the pipes of scum and buildup, not solids like TP.
