My ex wife started in her late 30's, yes.......It'ds called "early menopause". She had mood swings, hot flashes, etc. Go to your doctor and discuss your symptoms with him. He will tell you for sure. Good Luck, and stay COOL, when you can, lol.

Yes you can start as young as 37, but this rarely happens, some times you miss your cycle, but this could also be a sign of a more serious condition called poly cystic ovarian syndrome, it can cause your periods to Skip several months, weight gain, hot flashes, an increase of hair on the body, and a craving for carbs. You need to see a doctor right a way, this condition could lead to endometrial cancer if it isn't treated, I have been suffering with it since I was 10 years old, it can also mess up your fertility. hope this helps, good luck

Menopause can start at any age.
Go and see a doctor for a precise answer.
I had a total hysterectomy at 36 and have suffered hot flushes for more than 10 years. HRT made no difference nor have natural treatments. I just suffer them on a daily and nightly basis.
Years ago the doctors thought I had double pneumonia because of the amount I would perspire out. They didn't believe me and put me in an observation ward for 24 hours. They soon changed their minds. The bed was drenched 3 times over night. I'm recorded in the medical journals.

You may be in what is called perimenopause, which is the early stages of menopause. You should see your gyn to confirm that.

I started menopause at 42 and was completely through by 46. I was blessed since I didn't have many symptoms, but I do need hormone replacement therapy and I do have osteoporosis, so I see my doctor often.

Hot flashes are certainly a sign that it is starting. That was the part that caused me the most discomfort.

Ok...I am 38 almost 39 (ugh, I do not want to think about it) about 2 years ago I started feeling hot from the INSIDE OUT but only in situations like at soccer games etc, but I realized my hormones were triggering it. My Ob told me I am to young, but I know I am in perimenopause.....strange periods, hot flashes sometimes, moods (OMG) etc. No you are not to young, if you read things on it, the before part can last 10 years before the actual onset. Have you stopped periods for about 6 months? One of the things I guess that is a sign is period loss. But again, it is different, because you know when you are YOUNG like in your 20's sometimes your periods are out of wack.
Now at 37, I would not expect wacky periods, but who knows. I would say certainly you could be in peri meno, which can last like I said for 10 years before the ACTUAL menopause. Good luck!

Get a checkup with the ob/gyn and tell the doc everything you are feeling. Depending on your body and genetics probably too, you could possibly be. Or maybe it's your body cycle and hormones changing and developing with age. Don't look at it as getting old. Be positive about this change and seek the answers with informing your doc, following through with a goal list, and going out and having some fun for yourself and work on the happiness, the symptoms won't be as bad then.

Menapause can begin early I at age 33 had a fibroid removed which caused early menapause hot flashes and was given hormone to asst. I also got my first menstruation at the age of 10 this also influences. You will need to speak to a doctor seriously to check you can get help with it. It is no big thing.
