I was just wondering, in myth if someone becomes a vampire can they stop being a vampire?

I KNOW there are no vampires.. i was just wondering about the myths

Decapitation, holy water, stake through the heart, sunlight, being on fire. They stop being a Vampire, but become dust, only Dracula knows how to come back from dust but he's still a vampire. Angel got his soul back and so was a good vampire, but still a vampire all the same, so unless you got killed then nope. Oh yeah they can be drowned too, I read something about socks and vampires but I forgot exactly what it was.
Spike got his soul back? when?, no I didn't just read that lala didn't see it. (I'm only upto Season 5)

No. In myth, when you're a vampire, you're actually physically dead. You are an animated corpse. You need other people's blood to keep your heart pumping and your other muscles moving because yours is dead, cells don't divide, etc(Okay, I made that up, but it's a reasonable explination for why). You can't become alive again, so you can't become un-vampired. The only way to stop being a vampire is for your body to be destroyed so you won't be able to heal and reanimate it. In which case, you're nothing.

There is no cure, just death. Obviously you aren't silly enough to believe they really exist, hence the 'myth' addition to your question!

if there are vampires you must be talking about bats because there are no vampires on this face of earth on less they are where you live

techically no. But it depends on what kind of vampire you're talking about. there are lots of variations, acoording to that author or screen writer that created them. So i hope that helps, though it probably doesnt. If you could tell me what kind of vamp you're talking about, i could probably help you.
