It's hard to say I know alot of other criminals who have done a lot worse than him and didn't get the death penalty. We either should do away with it and give life without parole,or give all murderers death.I am sure Arnold did what he thought would make the majority happy. He had rehabilitated and he should have commuted him to life or pardon.Sadly I don't think it helped him having snoop dog rooting for him publically since he is associated with as some would say,"gangster rapster" Now if Denzel had been public and verbal about it, there might have been hope.Crazy and sad.

Out of personal curiosity, I took the time to review the L.A. District Attorney's reply to Tookie Williams' petition for clemency. I've provide the link below.
Any claim that Tookie William was a "changed" man is a joke. He never took responsibility for his crimes in the face overwhelming evidence. He never apologized. He had the chance to do a lot of good by giving authorities intel on the gang he founded, but he didn't. That can be no question the he was guilty and he got what he deserved.

He may have done some good but that does not outweigh the violent legacy left behind and it does not erase his past crimes. Let's not forget that he was responsible for the taking of innocent lives and that he started a gang that is collectively responsible for the taking of hundreds more. He had 24 years to ponder his actions and decided to take part in educating gang members about the errors of their ways. That was enough of an opportunity for him, clemency would have gone too far.

i comprehend i've got mastered the means to stroll, communicate and study. there is not any longer something plenty left to income in those fields, and that i will do all of it with finished ease. does no longer propose I in no way stub my toe, slur some words, or hit upon a sentence now and then, yet i've got reached a element the place it is thoroughly causal. i'm no longer an olympic sprinter, or a public speaker, or a speed reader -- those are all entirely separate skills -- yet what I discovered is plenty to get by existence. I in no way forget approximately that the martial arts are referred to as an artwork, in spite of if or no longer it is an jap interpretation, yet interior the West this does have a purpose. An artwork could no longer be something you proper. music, portray and sculpting all have close to infinite means, yet ranges of progression which you will could "grasp" to get extra effective. A black belt, as we've defined in the previous on right here, is approximately having a company information of the basics, or "All simple strikes and strategies, could be utilized with prolonged rigidity and proper application in simple combination." the considerable words right here would be "all simple strikes and strategies" and "prolonged rigidity and proper application". i'd say there's a mastery of having discovered the standards and comprehend a thank you to place them to apply, merely no longer something extra from the basics. i think of human beings bypass a splash too a techniques with the be conscious, utilising it always erroneously, however the point of very somewhat and casually utilising what you have discovered is what they are all implying. As for the martial arts as an entire, that i've got confidence is impossible, tremendously as an artwork.

I'm not sure Stan Williams should have been set free -- although he probably served enough time if he wasn't guilty of the murders.
He should not have been executed - it served no purpose, and Schwarzenegger was gutless in the way he went about refusing clemency.

Well one thing I know is that he never confessed to the killings her was guilty for or expressed remorse after the confession to the familys. In my mind I can see why Arnold did not grant it....but in the end, judgement is the Lords.

Being set free was never really what it was about. The options were death or life in prison. Seeing as I disagree with the death penalty in its entirety, I would say he should have lived, but that's just me.

He slaughtered people. Ask the families of those he killed what they think. He was a piece of crap, trying anything he could to escape the justice he deserved. I would have volunteered to "finish his punishment".
P.S. I would have said to him: "Bring the one's you killed back to life, and you can keep yours".
As far as remorse, people will tell you what they think you want to hear to escape the death penalty.
To jd256: I read it. It was alarming. The maniacal laughter after killing someone for $120,00, He was a piece of crap.
And like another responder said, why did it take so long to kill this murderer?

Thank you for bringing this up. I sadly thought it was forgotten.
Yes, he should have been freed. You are not the same person
as you were in your teens or early 20's.
He wrote very good books & was nominated for a Nobel
Peace Prize.
By killing someone, you learn nothing.
