I know someone who lives a selfish life at the expense of others. I like to think that there is some sort of "cosmic justice", and he will pay for his misdeeds. Will it happen?

Yes, sooner or later, it will happen.

Yes, there is a Final Judgment even though it is still years away. This life is the time to prepare to meet God, as it is easier to repent in this life while we have a limited sense of our guilt, rather than in the next life, when all the consequences of what we have done will be made very plain. I use the term "next life" in deference to traditional Christian terminology, as from a Mormon point of view, it is always the same life, just different stages. On a more immediate level, I think selfishness comes back to haunt people when they realize people will eventually know what their character is really like and avoid them. Some of them turn to criminal behavior, which is also extremely selfish.

No. It's immoral to think this way.. there are no karmic cosmic justice laws that will 'punish' oppressors in an afterlife as a canker sore. No, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE. We should never assume these postulations. If we do then the "rich" are BY NATURE divine, deserving, right, true-- and the poor and oppressed Guilty, Sinners, Deserving, Irresponsible.

That worldview is Totally violent to change, to increasing the standards of living for the lion's share of the people WORKING for "the divine, blessed, and just." No, save your karma, your synchronicities, your destiny-stories, your divine intervention for the right place --- the "afterlife". Go analyze it there. NOT HERE.

Yes, I do believe it, but not as karma, nor as something that will happen here on earth. I think that what will come around will come at final judgment. It is our free will, the desire of our hearts that will cause us to earn what we truly deserve. If we train our hearts with our spirits, and our spirits are attracted to goodness, then we have a good chance of earning the reward of Heaven in the afterlife. If on the other hand, we train our hearts with a spirit that is attracted to evil, then it reduces this chance.

I don't necessarily believe in a cosmic justice unless you're referring to the justice given in judgment on the day of judgment by whatever God you believe in. They say that revenge (or even vengence) is a dish best served cold. Yet we are taught that revenge and vengence is a dish that should be avoided, and not served, lest the one who serves it shall be judged.

I would say not to concern yourself with him paying for his misdeeds. It is a road that leads you to be selfish as well, to be gratified as the result of pain for another soul. The world does not teach this, but it is the truth. You, as well as everyone else, have plenty of work ahead of you for your salvation and the salvation of those around you. Take the high road, but don't look down on others ... help them to the high road as well whenever you can.

Yes I'm a very firm believer in what comes around go's around. There are a lot of sayings like that I believe in. 2 more for example are' An Eye For An Eye and You don't know what you have until it's gone. I do believe what you do will come back on you in one way or another.

He will never acomplish anything. I mean, this guy if he's selfish people aren't going to like him therefore a boss will never hire him. And a girl won't marry him if he's alway's putting her in danger. Yes this guy has definaltly does not have a promising life ahead. I am a strong beliver in what comes around, goes around.

It's conceivable that a chain of events sets the outcome, and therefore, the expression would be more logical and less superstitious....

Yes, we all know that being able to wish someone bad faith is not God like, and that what goes around comes around.

Absolutely, and the lesson comes back to" you" when" you "
don't expected.
But it is not in our judgment to say, what is right and what is
wrong. That's something between that" person" & god.
Fortunatly it is not only the bad things we do or think,
our good deeds &thoughts are come around too.

Actually, I do, but in both contexts. I know it is fashioned after bad deeds, but I also believe that if you do good, that it will come back to you, ten-fold.
