For those of you who are: it's all just a myth. The numbers 666 meaning the Devil popped up around the time of the Roman Empire. A Roman emperor named Nero hated the Catholics at that time, so he started the Great Fire of Rome (destroying around 1/4 of the city) and successfully blamed it on the Catholics. For this reason, he then went on to persecute thousands (or more) of Catholics. In Greek, his name is written in characters that look similar to three sixes (666). For this reason, "666" is associated with the one who hates Catholics, the persecutor of Christianity, the Devil (even though it is actually Nero). So see? You have nothing to fear. 06-06-06 is just superstition.

I agree that nothing is going to happen. It's 06/06/06 where I live already! That's in Australia for example. You might also be interested to know that the Church of Satan don't even recognise the said date as significant. You might want to read this quote from [1] for more information.

Every month I wait and earnestly look for writing something like 01-01-2006, 02-02-2006, 03-03-2006, 04-04-2006, 05-05-2006 and now today 06-06-2006. So for me this is one of the rare opportunities I avail every month. The difference is in that of the Year. So, 06-06-06.

Now the whole point of my liking these first two 'Twins' is that I correspond with British as well as American companies or countries those follow these two. Sometimes these two makes some confusion in the mind of either of above system of date users. I can be rest assured that today (or similar date/months) this problem will not occur and both USA and British system users would be at par.

By the way what are you, some kind of scientist????? you might be smart but you'll never know what or when the mark of the beast will come! im pretty sure its here though! then again for the people who really ARE afraid of that date should'nt be because a more explainable meaning!


In the bible it says that the end of the world will never be known! so if anybody thinks its gonna be today should know it is'nt because we will never know and it will be unexpected!

I am not scared. Also for your information, the name of Nero written in Greek doesn't look like three sixes, the numerical value assigned to the Hebrew letters that make up his name is equivalent to 666 as each letter has a corresponding numerical value.

Yeha, you mean my computers not going to crash and the world is not going to end. Jeesh , I just gave all my worldly possession's away. OH well maybe next year? I heard that if you take next years date and times it by 2 divide by 6 and then cube it and times it by the square root of 25 its the exact date of the end of the world. Spooky huh?( no I am not afraid)

Hell no! If you are truly a Christian, u'd never fear. Only God knows when it'll be so if u phonies try and predict the date, it's not that date becuz only God knows, not the devil, not Nostradamus, not even the Pope, nope and nope and nope.
