I sell Mary Kay, and I love it! The pluses are that you can make your own schedule, make more money in your free time, earn really nice prizes including cars (the cars are not free - you have to EARN them and maintain a certain amount in sales to keep them), trips, jewelry and more. You meet a lot of great people too! Some of the negatives are that at times you will feel stuck. Every consultant has her slow periods where sales aren't that great. Either because you don't feel motivated, or you can't find new customers. The plus side to that is there are ways to get past that. The most important thing is that you have to want to do it. You can take a break here and there if you need to. (I just started again from a 2 month "MK break" as I call it. I didn't feel like selling, so I didn't.) Another thing is that you just have to come up with creative ways to market your business and gather more clients. It can really be a great experience!

For more information on the MK business and to read true stories about some of our directors check out the link listed below. If you still have questions feel free to contact me. I will gladly address any of your concerns honestly and in an unbiased manner so that you can decide whether or not the business is for you.

Are you definitely "set" on MK? The reason that I ask is that I'm sure that they have great products, but the "timing" for their company has passed. Have you heard of or considered Arbonne International? Even though Arbonne has been around for 26 years, it's just now starting to explode! And we're not even global, yet! It's currently available in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Also, we have products for every member of the family, not just skin care and makeup. Take a look at my website and e-mail me if you'd like more information! Good luck!

I buy Mary Kay in my country, Uruguay. The only negative thing I find is the price, but the products are fantastic!

i tried to sell Mary Kay, but every time i located a john who i could pimp her out to, well, Mary Kay would get all high and mighty on us and start wiggin'g out, all babbling something about beauty products. whatever. the john didn't care if she had exfoliated today or not. just didn't work for me....
