ITS JUST ANOTHER ORDINARY DAY!!!! So why do people keep asking about it? People are going to go to sleep soundly, wake up to the nice dewy morning air, go to work/shopping/play outside, eat lunch do other things, and eat dinner, and sleep. So why are people so scared?

Thank you for answering your own question that will probably start more "OMG! 6-6-06 is the end of the world!" questions. But I do agree with you, and I'm trying to stamp out all of the Sixers' madness today.

Not if they are sane.

On the other hand, to his day, many buildings like hotels and apartments do not have a 13th floor because people are afraid to live in them.

The date 6/6/6 is a big misnomer anyway. We just write it that way because we are too lazy to write 06/06/2006 or 2006-06-06.

I guess if someone is really scared they can just included the first two digits of the year every time they write it on that date.

If someone is "really into" numbers/math and still worried about this, I suppose they can take their mind off of it by memorizing multiplication tables, practicing albebra, or learning to do something new in calculus.

Numbers are just ways of counting things, not predicting the future based on some presumed inevitable outcome. There is really not of a heck of a scientific reason for why the would should end on June 6, is there?

Natural and man-made phenomenon are a lot more likely to give the earth a "hit" than supernatural ones.

If people really want to stave off extinction, they can do more by washing their hands and not wasting energy - than by panicking over this little part of a date and that little part of a date!

Some people really do believe that 06/06/06 is the devil's day since it only comes around once every 1,000 years. Some people also believe that 666 on anything is bad luck from the devil. I've heard many times how that's the devil's number, but sometimes you never really know. You shouldn't put people down for what they believe though. Just try to never mind it and go on with the day.

Its a cool day to watch horror films. There seems to be someday like 6/6/06 every year or so. So far we seems to still be here, no rapture yet. At least not the kind where heaven opens up and the suckers are left behind.

Some people who are superstitious believe that since tomorrow's date (6/6/06) is significant because of the fact that Satan's "number" is 666. I don't believe that, though. Also, the movie "The Omen" comes out tomorrow.

No, only superticious people, like the ones who hold their breath when they pass a graveyard then can't breath until the pass a white house with black shutters because the don't want the dead spirits to pass through them, believe it will be unlucky. I think just because the devil's number is 666 does not mean the day will be bad. But if thats what people believe then what are we to do.....

In California -its state wide election day. no important races going on / so the majority of people voting are the politically minded. Think about about it a horde of people
running about, gathering together in large numbers and making their marks just so they can support the politicians.
(this is actually bad when ever it happens. but this year we are also due for a large quake about size 6 at 6pm in the salton sea area of Calif. )

Because they're superstitious about the number 666. Even I am to a slight degree, but not anywhere near enough to believe the world will end tomorrow.
