If you are a really good driver you can make the car do things like controlled slides. But this advantage is far outweighed by the security that ABS can give on wet or slick roads.

The only advantage is your car is lighter and less complicated. I have 2 cars, one with ABS and the other without. I prefer the ABS equipped car in the winter.

ABS comes in handy if you have to drive on alot of ice. I'm from North Dakota and it has kept me out of the ditch more than once. It sounds like your car is coming apart when the ABS kicks in.

In theory, you can stop faster without ABS in good conditions (good road, dry weather). This is because ABS causes your brakes to pulse very, very quickly, like pumping the brake pedal very fast.

The only thing advantage is the ability to do power-slides other wise there is none.

YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IT DOES. ABS IS GREAT.
