What about other years ending in '06? Why isn't it any of them?
People try to predict when the end will come, but no one knows.
The recent ones that I remember -
1/1/2000 and 2/29/2000 (both Y2K type issues)
5/5/xxxx (don't remember the year, but the planets lined up exactly)
Every time, when there's some unique date or there's something rare will happen on that date, many people conjur up all these stories of the end of the world. The one I'm waiting for is in 2012 when some very ancient calendar (from the Incans or some other civilization) stops completely. It's in December, so that year will have a very interesting holiday season.

People have been predicting the end of the world since its beginning. There's absolutely no need to fear.
Back in 1992, when I was a freshman in high school, some idiot on the radio said that the world would end in October of 1993 (I don't remember the exact date); as far as I can tell, the end of the world has failed to happen.
If you really do think the world will end tomorrow, here's what you should do:
1) Don't panic.
2) Have a drink, maybe two; if you're not old enough to have anything alcoholic, have something non-alcoholic instead.
3) Watch and see if the world will go nuts.
4) When the world fails to end tomorrow, get up the following day and go on like any other day.

no, cause the date is actually 6/06/2006 which means that its 668, when you add the 2 and 6 together. So really 666 was on the date 6/06/2004. plus its a load of ****

To the people who keep saying " nothing happened 6/6/1806,1706, etc.. ", that was over 100 years ago, who knows what will happen this century. If you go by that same logic on every subject then noone would ever die & nothing bad ( or good) would ever happen, because ,well, it didnt happen yesterday or the day before that or the day before that... nothing is constant. I'm not saying I believe we're all gonna be gone tomorrow, actually I think it's all a bunch of hooey to get people interested in this dumb movie & make its director filthy rich; but just wanted to prove a point.

We never know when we're going to die. But just because the date is 6/6/06 doesn't mean we're ALL going to die. That's ridiculous!

there was a 666 in 1206, 1306, 1406, 1506....ok you get my point. And yes, there will be some people dieing tomorrow, but people die everyday. But i really doubt the entire population of earth will die because of a number. But who knows-maybe you will die tomorrow...

No. There is no such thing as a "God" or "Satan." Besides, there's been a 6/6/06 every century for quite some time.
