A little while ago near where I live somebody found possible evidence of a mountain lion. Can it live here? Should i be worried about my outdoor animals? How would it have gotten here? Is it possible that its just movin through or what?

There have been reports of mountian lions in Iowa for years, and there is probably some truth behind them. Their historic range included all of Iowa, so they could easily live there again if allowed.
Worried? Not unless they start taking animals near yours.
There are several theories about the 'returns' of the cats in Iowa and Nebraska- the most common theories involve them coming from the Dakotas. The ones they find so far have been younger animals, probably looking for new territories.

Yes there have been mountain lions found in several places in Nebraska and close to the Iowa border. They can live just fine here, I am in Iowa, They can find lots of prey and places to den.
They will take livestock if they can but mostly young calves or foals not full grown livestock. There had been some reports of a horse getting attacked but it was cut up on the rump and was going to be ok.
